This study investigates how domestic violence and abuse have been portrayed in Bina Shah’s Slum Child. The analyzes women’s portrayal construes violence, abuse, marginalization, victimization. employs Thematic Roles given by Andrew Radford, as cited Saeed to explore the linguistic choices which are significant reflecting underlying ideology of author.
